15 eventful years of commitment to the development of renewable energies. greenwind is now setting the course for the coming years in six divisions.
"Our company is: Movement! 15 successful years in the wind energy market, in which we have moved in one direction mentally, creatively, technologically and as colleagues: forwards. And, of course, in a circle; because our goal was and is: all rotors must turn effectively and optimally!"
The owners of the greenwind Group, Manuel Lasse and Martin Kühl, who founded greenwind in 2010, epitomise two further characteristics of the greenwind Group: continuity and independence. Both have been partners and active providers of ideas from the very beginning: "Then as now, we are completely convinced of renewables!"
More than 30 wind turbines in the pipeline
This is how greenwind has grown from a two-man operation to a 150-strong company. Starting in 2010 with project development, the company now has six divisions - from planning to power, with 250 wind turbines now erected onshore and many forward-looking ideas in the areas of technical optimisation, hybrid solar developments, project planning for electrolysers and battery storage systems, municipal heat planning and already more than 30 wind turbines with 5 to 6 MW each in the pipeline for the coming years. We are thus securing a stable foundation in the project planning of green energy systems beyond the Renewable Energies Act.
900 MW in technical operations management
Increasingly complex systems require increasingly complex tasks. greenwind's technical operations management relies on a generalist approach that keeps an eye on everything from nature conservation and register processes to network security monitoring and billing. This also includes the topics of direct marketing, municipal participation or innovations from the 2025 amendment to the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG). Commercial and technical operations management work hand in hand to provide customer-centred solutions.
Measurements all over the world
Noise reduction through blade angle optimisation, which is also manufacturer-independent and makes the installation of blade elements superfluous! Measure and rectify rotor imbalances after blade repairs or blade replacement! greenwind's engineers specialise in sophisticated measurement campaigns for the technical optimisation of wind turbines. The aim is to detect anomalies such as increased vibrations, reduced yields or excessive noise emissions at an early stage and to rectify them with customised measures. Operators all over the world benefit and often save large sums of money, as our case studies prove.
Branches with a focus on the north-east
The greenwind team is growing continuously. Starting from the Berlin headquarters, greenwind is active regionally and decentrally with a focus on the north-east: in Rostock, Groß Pankow and also in the growing regional office in Lübeck. Here, seven colleagues are currently managing a total of 14 projects with a total output of over 180 megawatts.
Participation models for citizens and the team
greenwind is offering all Group employees the opportunity to become operators of an already approved wind turbine at the "Freudenberg Nord" site near Berlin. The team develops a turbine itself, installs it, keeps it running and optimises its operation. A V150 5.6 MW is being planned. Citizens can also become part of the energy transition, e.g. in the Meyenburg project, where a community wind turbine is planned. This allows interested parties to participate financially and benefit directly.
Energy transformation for industry and commerce
greenwind supports industry and municipalities in the transition to a new energy future on the basis of legal requirements. Through intelligent sector coupling, we bring green energy from the electricity sector into all other energy consumption sectors such as heating, cooling and transport. Our first electrolyser is currently being built in the municipality of Dachwig as part of the green Thuringian hydrogen project TH2ECO. Together with municipalities, we are developing concepts for municipal heat planning (KWP).
