As a pioneer in the field of wind energy, Volkswind plans, builds and operates onshore wind farms in many European countries. We have many years of experience in the development, financing and realisation of wind farms. From the initial idea to maintenance, we cover all development and operating phases of a wind farm project. To date, the interdisciplinary and international team at Volkswind GmbH has constructed almost 100 wind farms with a total output of around 1,600 MW. An achievement that we are proud of as a modern energy producer and that we will continue to increase.
Since the takeover by the Swiss energy group Axpo in 2015, Volkswind has been even more strongly positioned for the further expansion of the pipeline and the diversification of the project portfolio.Axpo's expertise in the energy industry and its many years of market and industry experience ensure a strong strategic partnership in the wind energy sector.
In addition to the existing core markets of Germany and France, Volkswind is also focussing on project development in Romania and Finland together with Axpo and is further expanding the areas of technical operations management and asset management.
