ABO Energy acquires, plans, finances and constructs turnkey wind energy projects. ABO Energy also sells ready-to-build projects or brings third-party projects to a successful conclusion.

Almost 30 years of expertise

Founded in 1996 as ABO Wind, ABO Energy has realised renewable energy projects with an output of around 6,400 megawatts to date and has built around half of them. The annual investment volume amounts to around one billion euros. Around 1,400 employees in 16 countries are currently working on the development of new wind, solar, battery and hybrid parks with a total output of more than 32 gigawatts. The company also has hydrogen projects with a capacity of around 20 gigawatts in the pipeline.

Project development and repowering

ABO Energy initiates wind, solar and storage projects, acquires sites and existing projects, carries out all technical and commercial planning, prepares international bank financing and constructs the plants on a turnkey basis. ABO Energy enjoys an excellent reputation among municipalities, landowners and energy cooperatives as a fair and reliable partner.

Operational management & service

Whether remote monitoring, condition management or contract and accounting management: The flexible ABO Energy operational management modules offer the right services for wind farms, solar parks and battery storage projects alike. The manufacturer-independent ABO Energy service offers both full and partial maintenance, repairs, safety checks, inspections and fault clearance from a single source.

Appraisals & large components

The experts listed with the BWE inspect all large turbine components, whether foundations, towers, drive trains or rotor blades. Our experienced technicians also replace and repair gearboxes, generators and main bearings. On request, they will expertly install repaired components.
