F2E provides reliable assessments worldwide as a solid foundation for the deployment of onshore wind turbines – underpinned by recognised expertise and experience gained from over 30,000 projects.

In 2008, industry pioneer F2E, in direct dialogue with authorities, set a precedent for the acceptance of its expert assessments in German building law approval procedures. Founded by three long-standing TÜV NORD experts, the company still combines the rigorous assessment methodology of a technical inspection association with the agility of an independent service provider.

For around two decades, the owner-managed engineering consultancy has supported manufacturers, energy suppliers, municipal utilities, planners, developers, and operators in both new project development and repowering. Its spectrum of services includes site suitability assessments, high-precision risk analyses for ice fall, ice throw, and component failure, as well as assessments regarding the impact of wind turbines on neighbouring overhead power lines. Using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations, F2E accurately models airflow at highly complex locations to ensure reliable decision-making for planners and investors.

The portfolio also includes proprietary, industry-proven software solutions: wake2e (site suitability assessment) and safe2e (risk assessments for personnel on pathways due to ice throw/ice fall/component failure), which allow licensed users to optimise wind farm planning. These online tools can be flexibly adapted to specific manufacturer requirements for extended data exchange.

The team of around 25 experts combines deep scientific insight with experience gained from over 30,000 expert reports.
