Established partner for renewable energies
In Germany, we are an established partner for renewable energies and operate 16 wind farms with around 250 MW, among other things. Our experienced teams work closely with municipalities, landowners, and investors. We always take local conditions and needs into account. To develop each site in the best way, we draw on our many years of experience with projects and local energy suppliers, as well as the comprehensive technical and commercial expertise of the ENGIE Group.
For renewable projects, we take care of everything from start to finish, from site acquisition, planning, approvals, construction, and operation of the plants to marketing the energy generated. By getting involved in projects at an early stage, we can achieve optimized conditions during development and procurement and minimize risks. We are committed to promoting the acceptance of renewable energies at the local level and offer flexible models for public participation. This allows communities and citizens to actively participate in our projects and benefit from the advantages of green energy.
As a financially strong and reliable investor, we acquire project rights in all phases of development – from early planning stages to construction readiness.
Direct marketing and PPAs
As one of the largest electricity market participants, we have concluded 4.3 GW of PPAs worldwide in 2024. Our central trading platform in Brussels is staffed around the clock and has access to all European electricity markets, from forwards to the intraday market.
For plant operators who want to optimize the revenues from their wind farms, gain long-term planning security and comply with legal requirements, we offer individually tailored models:
• Direct marketing
• Short-term PPAs for post-EEG plants
• Long-term PPAs for new plants without subsidies
• PPAs for subsidized plants
By combining battery storage systems (BESS) with renewable energy projects, we contribute to grid stabilization and offer our customers a wide range of benefits. Investors and developers can fix the level of expected revenues through our marketing models with fixed price components and gain greater investment security in a dynamic market environment.
