Development, acquisition, construction and operation of wind turbines - EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG is active along the entire value chain.
EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG is driving forward the expansion of renewable energies, particularly in the area of wind power, with the aim of achieving a capacity of 4,000 MW by 2025.
The EnBW - your partner for the expansion of wind power
With around 28,000 employees, EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG is one of the largest energy companies in Germany and Europe. It supplies around 5.5 million customers with electricity, gas, water as well as services and products in the areas of infrastructure and energy. As part of its strategic realignment to become a sustainable infrastructure company, EnBW is investing around €14 billion in the energy transition between 2023 and 2025 with the aim of sourcing more than half of its generation portfolio from renewable energies by 2025 and phasing out coal by 2028. The aim is to achieve climate neutrality by 2035.
By 2025, EnBW is planning a wind power capacity - offshore and onshore - of 4,000 MW. The offshore wind farm "He Dreiht" with 960 MW is to be connected to the grid without state subsidies by 2025. With the Gundelsheim energy park, EnBW is realising another forward-looking project that generates electricity from solar and wind energy and has a battery storage system. The solar park will generate 60.5 MW and the wind park with two wind turbines 11.2 MW. The battery storage system enables flexible grid feed-in and optimises energy use.
