The German Wind Energy Association (BWE), together with its members, is fully committed to ensuring that the success story and vision of ‘100 per cent electricity from renewable energy sources’ soon becomes a reality in Germany.
To support technical and economic progress within the sector, BWE-Service GmbH organises events and training programmes on behalf of the BWE and the BEE. The conferences, industry days and practical workshops organised by the German Wind Energy Association (BWE) have become well-established over the years and provide a platform for exchange between decision-makers in areas such as finance & marketing, project development & operations, grids & legal affairs. BWE events
With around 50,000 participants at some 250 events a year, the BWE is the market leader in continuing professional development for the wind energy sector and also offers programmes on other renewable energy topics. The diverse range of formats offers specialists and managers from the renewable energy sector the opportunity to learn about current topics and expand their networks.
The Wind Industry Days are an established platform for dialogue and exchange with politicians in individual federal states. With up to 800 participants, these are the largest events. Numerous politicians at all levels
attend every year.
At the conferences, practical workshops, seminars and congresses, participants bring their knowledge up to date in their specialist fields as selected industry experts share their practical know-how. It is not uncommon for new business relationships to be forged there as well.
Seminars & Training Courses
From one-and-a-half-hour webinars to in-person training courses lasting several days – the BWE’s Academy formats offer you the very latest information and knowledge transfer. Most seminars take place online; only selected training courses, such as ‘Fundamentals of Onshore Wind Energy’, are usually held in person by the BWE. In all these programmes, you have the opportunity to put your questions to our experts. BWE Policy Briefing
Several times a year, BWE Managing Director Wolfram Axthelm provides updates via video stream on political developments relating to wind energy and answers questions from the industry live. This allows legislative processes and challenges to be monitored and assessed on a day-to-day basis. Through the BWE Policy Briefings, the BWE thus offers an interactive and transparent channel for member communication with an enormous reach.
