Champion for renewable energies
In the areas of onshore wind power and solar power, RWE Renewables Europe & Australia is one of the largest electricity producers in Europe and has become a "super player" in renewable energies. With the comprehensive investment and growth strategy "Growing Green", the entire Group is expanding its high-performance and green generation capacity - to more than 65 gigawatts by 2030.
To this end, RWE is investing 55 billion euros in the years 2024 to 2030 - 11 billion of which in the German home market alone. The project pipeline is well filled - in all technologies: Battery storage, onshore wind power and solar energy.
Towards the future with wind and sun
Wind energy is the backbone of the German energy transition. RWE is making a decisive contribution to this. We have been developing wind farms for over 25 years. At RWE, we want to do even more in future to ensure that wind energy can play its part in the future energy supply, especially in our home market of Germany. And we are investing energetically in the further expansion of our project pipeline.
The sun emits an unimaginable amount of energy. It is therefore up to us to utilise this enormous potential. We are working towards further increasing the competitiveness of solar energy. The solar market is a central component of the energy transition and will see above-average growth in the coming years - including at RWE.Our most important resource: #TeamRWE
